Building a photovoltaic station with a market price of energy sales in Spain

The project consists of three main stages:

1 - Choosing a suitable plot of land so that connecting a photovoltaic system to the network does not require a lot of money, as well as it being suitable for the construction of the station, and the lease of land being at a reasonable price. To request a point of connection to the network, you must have a preliminary contract for the lease or purchase of a plot of land with the owners, of a sufficient area for the construction and the installation of the station of the planned capacity. A request for a connection point is sent to the distribution company of the networks of the region, if the station's capacity does not exceed 50 MW. If the power is above 50MW, then the connection point is requested from the Spanish Electricity Network (REE).

 

In total, there are five main distributors in Spain:

- EON (ENEL VIESGO)

Note: At this stage, a decision on the point of connection to the network requires a deposit from the applicant equal to 40 € / kW. That is, for 20 MW, a security deposit of € 800,000 is required. A financial guarantee is issued by a financial institution or an insurance company that has the appropriate authority.

3 - Construction, testing and commissioning of a PV installation.

Works are performed as part of customer service:

-       selection of a general contractor and preparation of a general contract

-       Selection of equipment suppliers, in the case of it not being a part of the responsibility of the general contractor

-       Control over the supply of equipment and its collection at the site

-       Providing general meetings and on-site meetings

-       Technical control over technology and the quality of work

-       Funding control and preparation of applications for funding work

-       Providing project supervision

-       Obtaining a proposal on the terms of the contract with the market agents and the preparation of the contract

-       Coordination of all design changes and additions arising during construction

-       Acceptance of the scope of work from the contractor

-       - Coordination with the owners of the land passage of power lines and installation of pillars

-       - Collection and completion of documentation (Below is a list in Spanish) for commissioning the station .

-       Observation and control of the test runs

-       Checking the actual performance of the station after commissioning.

-       - Contacts with neighbors to resolve related issues

-       Contacts  with local administration

Technical maintenance:

-       Once construction is completed, the most important factors are the maintenance and repair work. They cover all verification and verification to keep the object in optimum condition and performance. The purpose of these works is the detection of any possible anomalies or defects that affect the overall work and production of the object. This service will be provided with the help of complete monitoring systems and the necessary programs for the monitoring and control of data.

-        This operation allows: Constant and sufficient control over the installation. Monitoring the  production. Presentation of computer graphics of all measured data and operating conditions.  Monitoring the maximum DC power for the entire system. Processing the data collected using the operating system in a computer terminal of a photovoltaic installation or a remote PC using GPRS.  Indication on a mobile phone when it detects faulty components.

 

There are different types of maintenance:

1.     Preventive maintenance: regular inspections, in accordance with the elements of production. All objects, structures, trackers, panels, cables and the central system receive a visual check to ensure that all elements are working correctly. All panels are washed and inspected throughout the year to avoid damage. In addition, graphical heat checks will be carried out to verify losses in different components and to ensure their durability.

2.     Predictive maintenance: equipment will be monitored to ensure that all equipment operates in an optimal range. These parameters are monitored using remote control and they help predict possible system failures. This is done by remote communication systems, such as GSM / GPRS, for reviewing the energy meter. Using these parameters, you can configure alarms to send alerts.

3.     Repair service: in case of detection of failures due to unforeseen variables, incorrect electrical protection, etc. The necessary personnel are sent to the site for the necessary revision and the repair of the object.
